Flamini undergoes knee surgery

Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini has been ruled out for 6 months

after undergoing knee surgery.
The 27 year old French enforcer picked up the injury in Milan's 2-1 win in the Trofeo Berlusconi over Juventus. He tore cruciate ligaments in his left knee and underwent the procedure in his country.
Flamini is an important squad player for Milan and considering the scant transfer activity at Via Turati this summer,a replacement for the midfielder is crucial. So far the Italian press has linked the club with Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra and Fernando Tissone of Genoa.Adriano Galliani has come out to re-instate that Milan's mercato is closed.
